Over the past 30 years, Ms. Miller has gained broad knowledge and experience on issues of race and diversity while serving as an educator, consultant, facilitator, researcher, writer, and speaker. She is asked by private and public academic institutions, non-profit agencies, school districts to assist them in promoting positive inter-ethnic student-teacher relationships.
She also has given presentations on Racial Microaggressions at numerous conferences including, the National Association of Independent Schools People of Color Conference, the American Psychological Association Convention, the National Conference on Racial and Ethnic Diversity in Higher Education, the Teachers College Roundtable on Multicultural Psychology and Education, and the National Association for Multicultural Education.
Consistent with her interests and experience in this area, Ms. Miller has served as the Chair of the Diversity Committee at Newtown Friends School, Newtown PA, and as the Chair of the Circle of Racism at George School, Newtown, PA. Currently, she serves as a member of the Steering Committee and the Chair of the Education Committee of the Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice. Ms. Miller is the Chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee for the League of Women Voters Delaware and President, League of Women Voters of Sussex County, Delaware, and on the Futures Committee for the National League of Women Voters.
